Sometimes you just have to dare to dream. And do.
Some dreams just won't let you go. For me, that was the desire to design my own line, a collection that is completely "vanMauZ". For years I worked for the government, but my heart was in color, creativity and devising new designs. I quit my salaried job and what once started with making jewelry at the kitchen table grew into a brand full of color and character. Bags naturally followed, thanks to collaborations with ateliers. And yet, one wish kept nagging: a completely own line, designed from start to finish, with matching jewelry.
The power of color
At vanMauZ, everything revolves around color. A bag truly sparkles when at least two shades come together. In Italy, I found an atelier that understood exactly what I meant. We coordinate weekly: from sketch to stitch, to that last millimeter in the pattern. Everything is tested and refined until it is right, both practical and stylish.
I make the jewelry myself, in vanMauZ's own studio. Each design matches the colors and materials of the bags. Together they tell one story, but separately they are also powerful statements. This is one whole. vanMauZ Signature is my handwriting in color and form, designed in-house, manufactured in Italy.
Behind the scenes
Launching a new collection is always exciting, but this time it feels different. This is not just a product; this is a dream that has been in my head for years. From sketches and testing to the first boxes that arrived: the process was intense, but magical.
The Signature collection is the beginning of something great. Of bags and jewelry that you will enjoy wearing for years. Of designs that you don't see everywhere. Of vanMauZ, but next level.
