Valentine's Day... every year we hear it again: commercial, exaggerated, not for me. And honestly, we understand that feeling very well. But fortunately, we see something else happening in our shop!
Around Valentine's Day, we see more orders coming in every year. Not because it's a 'must', but precisely because people are making it enjoyable. A small gift, chosen with care. For themselves. For a mother. For a daughter. For that one friend who is always there for them. Just something sweet.
And yes... men also find their way to us! We probably enjoy seeing that the most. Men who take the time to find something that is not standard, but feels personal. That's actually precisely where Valentine's Day can be very beautiful.
But, how does that work? We were curious how it goes with you around moments like December, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or birthdays. So we threw a poll in our Instagram stories. Do you buy something for yourself? Do you let your partner pick something out? Do you order yourself, but put your partner's name on it? Or do you just very clearly send what you would like to have? And what do you think? The majority just shops for themselves :-). Sometimes openly and honestly: "I deserve this." Sometimes a bit more subtle, by sending the link. And yes, occasionally we order it ourselves, but then "from" our partner. That doesn't mean there are no more surprises, by the way. We also see that partners really make an effort to find something beautiful. That's absolutely wonderful, of course!
